Today in class we spoke about internalizing other people's moods. It is easy to do, if someone is very happy, very upset or very angry it can seem contagious. My classmates and I noticed it today at lunch when the man behind the grill station had a very sour attitude, everyone who ordered there almost instantly "caught" this mood. The only trouble is that this is just a stranger, think about people we care about. This I also encountered today. I don't know why this person was acting differently but after our exchange I came away with a different mood.
Being optimistic and filling your life with happy people can make all the difference. Though it is true no one is happy all the time. It can be hard to not internalize what another person is feeling but understanding can help. Understanding where a person is coming from brings clarity.
Well anyway I'm done trying to analyze people, I'll leave that for when I become a true social worker :)
p.s. On a different note I would like to congratulate a lot of people for awesome feats that have been happening recently! First I would like to send a congrats to all of those students in my social work major who have found their awesome internships for next year (we are one step closer to obtaining our goals!), congrats to everyone who has been chosen to be an RA and congrats to those who got RHA executive board positions today! I love the accomplishment!

you're 100% right! that grill guy is always in such a terrible mood :( haha
